Play responsibly. You must be 18 or over to play. Gambling can be addictive. If you are worried about your gambling, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 (free, 24 hours) or visit BeGambleAware.org.

Our commitment

The Fyvie Parish Church Lottery is a small, low-stakes lottery, but gambling can still cause harm. We are committed to keeping play safe, fair and fun. Our minimum age is 18, our spending cap is £20 per draw, and we make it easy to stop.

Warning signs

Gambling may be becoming a problem if you:

  • spend more money or time than you planned;
  • chase losses or try to win back money;
  • borrow money or sell things to gamble;
  • hide your gambling from family or friends;
  • feel anxious, irritable or guilty about gambling;
  • neglect work, family or other things you enjoy;
  • find it hard to stop or cut down.

Taking the free BeGambleAware self-assessment takes just a few minutes.

Staying in control

  • Set a budget before you play and stick to it.
  • Only play with money you can afford to lose. Never use money for bills, rent or food.
  • Never chase your losses.
  • Don't gamble when upset, stressed or after drinking.
  • Take regular breaks and balance gambling with other activities.
  • Gambling is not a way to make money or solve money problems.
  • Ask your bank about a gambling transaction block.

Our player tools

Spending limits

Set a daily, weekly or monthly limit. Decreases take effect straight away; increases take 24 hours. Maximum £20 per draw.

Time out

Take a break for 7 days, 14 days, 1 month or 6 months. You cannot play or buy tickets until it ends.

Self-exclusion

Under 18s

It is illegal for anyone under 18 to gamble with us. We will never knowingly sell a ticket to anyone under 18. We check your date of birth at registration, may ask for ID before you play or claim a prize, and will cancel tickets and withhold prizes if a player is found to be under 18, returning the stake.

Parents and carers: keep your payment cards and passwords private and consider parental controls such as Internet Matters. Young people can talk to Childline on 0800 1111, free.
